Bermuda TifWay 419

Tif-way 419 is a deep green Bermuda grass with a medium-fine texture. It has excellent weed and disease resistance and is a superior turf for fairways, tees, athletic fields and home lawns. When cut at 3/4 to 1 1/2 inches, it provides an excellent impact-absorbing cushion. Because of its very dense top growth, Tifway 419 tolerates more wear and more able to resist weed invasion. It is more resilient in winter months when the grass is dormant.

Tif-way 419 is the most widely used Hybrid Bermuda grass used in the South for Golf and Sports fields.

BERMUDA  DESCRIPTION from Florida IFAS website:
"Bermudagrasses (Cynodon spp.) are among the most widely used warm-season grasses. Improved, fine-textured bermudagrasses are used throughout the south on golf courses, athletic fields, and in high profile residential and commercial landscapes where a fine-textured dense ground cover is desired. Due to high maintenance requirements of the improved bermudagrasses, however, they are not generally recommended for use as a home lawn grass. Common bermudagrass varieties are often found as pasture and roadside grasses; these coarse-leaved varieties do not provide the high quality nor do they require the high maintenance of the fine-textured types."
